Everyone in the hub has at least the Learner role. Administrator roles are added on top of it, which is why an administrator is always shown with both.
Learner
Uses the hub: searches, watches content, takes quizzes, earns certificates, rates what they learn, and manages their own My Learning. This is everyone, including administrators.
Admin
Everything a Learner can do, plus the Admin menu in the top right. That covers adding and editing content, creating quizzes, building pages and playlists, assigning training, managing users and groups, and reading every report and dashboard.
Super Admin
Everything an Admin can do, plus the hub settings.
Where you see roles
Open Admin › User Management. The Status & Roles column shows each person's roles, and the Groups column shows where they sit.
Good to know
Because administrators are also learners, anything you assign to everyone reaches them too. When you are testing an assignment, that is useful: you will see it in your own My Learning exactly as your colleagues do.
[INTERNAL NOTE — TO CONFIRM: how a role is granted or removed, and whether a separate Manager role exists. The AI assistants FAQ refers to "Admins and Managers", which does not match the three roles visible in User Management.]
